Hosting
I rent a VPS from digital ocean, it’s running Ubuntu 18.04 and resources can be scaled as required, billed per second. They don’t pay me anything to advertise them and still I wholeheartedly recommend it.
The VPS is configured for providing hosting to me and my clients, as well as a few cronjobs and offsite backup. Since Digital Ocean don’t pay me a thing perhaps you could, by registering via my referral link I recieve $25 when you spend your first $25. On top of that, you get a free $100 credit just for signing up with a referral.
Or better still, contact me about a custom negotiated shared hosting plan, no cash upfront.
LAMPP
On my Digital Ocean Droplet I have installed Apache, MySQL, and PHP to set up a standard LAMP server. In addition the Linux distribution includes python2, and I’ve installed python3 on top of that.
